What is Ict ! – Information & Communication Technology

Now we all know that when we were in our childhood that we didn’t know what ICT actually meant. It was said so often by my teachers and they explained it in a way that nobody actually understood.

Well I feel that in schools today the teachers still don’t explain the meaning and definition of what ICT is, Even-though they may know all about the subject.

The definition of Ict is very complicated in a manner of ways, But the main definition of what ICT is and the definition of what i was told is Information & Communications Technology or Information & Computer Technology

But it doesn’t just stop there, ICT actually is an incorrect saying originally the saying was just “IT”
Information Technology.But then they thought, Hmm.. This saying has got nothing is common with computers so we will just add the “C” into the abbreviation.

You might now be saying, “The “C” could mean communications”. Seeing as the “I” in IT stands for information the “I” is already suggesting the word communication, they had no improvement making that statement as well.

Now, In this day and age IT is becoming one of the most useful and needed jobs around since everybody is moving on from the olden days into a technology filled world. This brings extra opportunities for people who wanted to start a new career in something different.

In ICT there are two categories which it falls upon this first of which is your normal computer based technologies and the other is digital communication technologies which allows people to communicate documents and information digitally.

Some of the typical things you would get used to if you were to work in IT or learn IT are Microsoft applications and operating systems. These are the basic things of a desktop computer or laptop and mostly any user in any job would use a Microsoft application, therefore it’s a handy skill to know when working in IT.
